One postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Functional Food lab at North Carolina A&T State University. The lab is located at the North Carolina Research Campus in Kannapolis. The North Carolina Research Campus has state-of-the-art core facilities in the areas of genomics, metabolomics, proteomics, and histochemistry.
Candidates with extensive experience in natural products chemistry (structure elucidation), medicinal chemistry (structure modification), or bioavailability and metabolomic studies of natural products will be given preference. Experience with rodent and cell lines to study the metabolism of natural products and food components is a plus. The candidate must have experience in various chromatographic techniques including HPLC and LC-MS. Applicants must have a recent PhD in natural products chemistry, analytical chemistry, pharmacology, or a closely related discipline.
Continuous self-development, publication activity, learning and sharing research experience are expected from the candidate.
