The Department of Chemistry at the University of South Florida (USF) celebrates diversity and inclusive excellence among our faculty. We seek to fill a 9-month, tenure-earning, full-time position at the rank of assistant professor with a research focus and teaching requirement in organic chemistry. The position is expected to start August 7, 2024 on the Tampa campus, with a competitive salary and start-up package. The ideal candidate will establish a strong, externally funded research program and must contribute to teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels.  This position is subject to a Level 1 criminal background check. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in organic chemistry or a closely related field with a promising record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated independent experience beyond the PhD.
