The 2026 ASP annual meeting will take place in Denver, Colorado from July 26-29 at the Denver Tech Center Marriott. We wish to welcome you to Denver for an exciting and diverse scientific program, in addition to unmatched urban and mountain adventures.

This meeting will be the first to feature our new meeting schedule. We will begin on Sunday morning for a full day of scientific programming followed by our opening reception. There will be no Saturday scheduling, and our Executive Committee meeting and workshops have been moved to Tuesday afternoon instead. Please see the website for the preliminary schedule.

Our scientific program emphasizes natural products for cancer and infectious disease with confirmed plenary speakers across industry and academia, including Drs. Sherry Gao, Carole Bewley, Jason Crawford and Daniel Labarbera sharing their work and diverse approaches to drug discovery. The scientific symposia include:

  • Leveraging Natural Products for Infectious Disease
  • Technologies to Accelerate Natural Products Research
  • Integrated Omics for Natural Products Discovery
  • Natural Products and Molecular Targets for Cancer
  • Synthetic Strategies for Natural Product Lead Development
  • Synthetic Biology for Natural Product Production and Engineering

Other scientific sessions include Chemical Ecology and Symbioses, Botanicals and Mushroom Functional Foods, Natural Products Biosynthesis, Natural Products Discovery and High Throughput Screening, Marine Natural Products, Animal and Environmental Microbiomes in Health, and Disease Clinical Translation. We are especially excited about our Younger Members Symposium!

Our workshops include a Younger Members’ Career Fair and a Primarily Undergraduate Institutions (PUI) session for those faculty working at PUIs. In addition to our opening Sunday reception, Monday night will feature our Younger Members’ event, and Wednesday night will be the traditional ASP banquet. In lieu of a social event, we encourage networking during lunch breaks and evenings. The meeting venue is proximal to various restaurants, a beer garden, and easy travel to downtown Denver.

Enjoy a myriad of activities to do both in the Denver area and the surrounding mountains.  A visit to Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre is a must, and the meeting venue is close to Cherry Creek State Park. Both parks offer hiking trails and beautiful views. Denver has wonderful art and science museums, in addition to a film center, great restaurants, and local breweries. Please stay tuned to the ASP website for ongoing updates.

Abstract submission and registration are open! Abstracts are due on April 15, 2026, and early registration is available until May 15, 2026.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee Co-Chairs, Amy Keller and Kerry McPhail, as well as the committee members, Allegra Aron, Donovon Adpressa, Gil Belofsky, J.P. Gerdt, Sandra Loesgen, Vanessa Phelan, Tarek Sammakia, and Eric Schmidt, we look forward to seeing you in Denver in July!
