(https://sc.edu/study/colleges_schools/chemistry_and_biochemistry/our_people/directory/li_jie.php) at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, University of South Carolina is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to perform microbial genome mining (especially human microbiota), aiming to identify biosynthetic gene clusters and the corresponding natural products. The biosynthesis may also be studied. In addition, the biological and/or physiological activities of the compounds discovered will be studied.

Responsibilities - Under general supervision of the Principal Investigator, this postdoctoral fellow will conduct research on natural products discovery, biosynthesis, and biological evaluation.

Qualifications - PhD in Chemical Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field with expertise in natural products biosynthesis and biological evaluation.
