Job Description - The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Daniel K Inouye College of Pharmacy at the University of Hawaii at Hilo invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position with a possible start date of August 01, 2024. We are especially interested in applicants with experience in natural product chemistry and bioassay-guided separation of BACTERIAL (and fungal) secondary metabolites. The candidate should be familiar with the use of a range of modern analytical and spectroscopic tools including ESPECIALLY HPLC, low resolution LCMS, HRMS, and NMR. The capacity to work in a team environment is also essential.
Responsibilities - Primary responsibilities will include research, project management, manuscript preparation, communications with collaborators, training junior lab members, ordering, instrument maintenance, and other duties
Qualifications - Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. degree in natural product chemistry or a closely related field by the time of appointment. Microorganism (especially bacteria) natural product chemistry experience is preferred.
