Duties (1) Independently conduct research in natural products chemistry (2) Isolate and structurally characterize bioactive compounds (3) Contribute to method development in the analysis of natural products (4) Publish research results in international scientific journals. As a postdoc, you are expected to take a leading role in the entire research process—from research planning and project administration, data processing and analysis, to interpretation and dissemination of research results.
Requirements (1) PhD degree in pharmacognosy, natural products chemistry, or related field, or a foreign degree deemed equivalent to a doctoral degree in the specified field. The degree must be completed no later than the time of the employment decision. Preferably, the degree should have been obtained within the last three years. The starting point for calculating the three-year timeframe is the final application deadline. In special cases, such a degree may have been obtained earlier, with special reasons including leave due to illness, parental leave, union-related trust assignments, etc. (2) Documented laboratory experience in the isolation and/or structural elucidation of natural products (MS, NMR, HPLC) (3) Documented experience working with microbiological techniques (4) Strong scientific publication record (5) Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, as well as good documentation skills.
