The School of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the Georgia Institute of Technology (“Georgia Tech”) invites applications for the position of Chair of the School and Professor, with an anticipated starting date of August 1, 2024. Candidates must have an earned doctorate in Chemistry or a closely related discipline. The expected rank at appointment is at the level of full professor, however applicants at all tenure-eligible ranks will be considered. Candidates should have an outstanding record as a researcher, educator and mentor, and an accomplished record of effective leadership. This close intertwinement with engineering, thus, provides a unique platform to deliver transformative science and chemistry education, and to build internationally leading and highly interdisciplinary research clusters that can lead and not react to science trends.
