As a new member benefit to American Society of Pharmacognosy members, the American Chemical Society will post the peer-reviewed, ready-for-publication manuscripts in the Journal of Natural Products of ASP members to the NIH PubMed Central. This will allow ASP members to more easily comply with the NIH requirement that all NIH-funded research be made available without charge to the public. The deposit will be made at no extra cost to the ASP member author. Further details can be found at http://asph.memberclicks.net/asp-benefit-free-nih-pmc-submission.

Reporting on this last day of the ICNPR2012 in New York City, there are1301 attendees from 66 countries at the meeting. This is the largest meeting devoted to natural products in North America. The meeting was held in an excellent venue, with world-class science, outstanding events (the chartered train trip to the New York Botanical Garden was great!), and an all-around superior meeting. In her opening remarks, ASP President Barbara Timmermann encouraged us to think of this meeting as “the Olympics of natural products!”
The Society (ASP) has launched an online balloting system to replace the traditional paper ballots. Please cast your vote!
