Development of vaccines for urushiol, the active compouond of poison ivy, was the focus of an article in the Philadelphia Inquirer, 23 Aug 2015 (http://www.philly.com/philly/health/20150823_Is_relief_near_for_poison-ivy_sufferers_.html). Included was a focus on the work in this area by Mahmoud Elsohly, University of Mississippi. Elsohly’s group is close to launch of a clinical trial.
