The mission of the Younger Members Committee is to facilitate network development between the younger members and established members within the society, as well as to assist in the career development of our younger members. A younger member is an undergraduate student, graduate student or post-doctoral researcher belonging to ASP. At our annual meeting, the Younger Members Committee sponsors workshops that are open to all ASP younger members. Topics that have been covered in past meetings include how to apply for fellowships, how to write and submit journal articles, and career choices and the differences between working in academia, industry and the government.
