We are saddened at the passing of colleague, mentor and friend George ‘Bob’ Pettit: a giant in the field, who devoted 60+ years to finding cures for cancer and brought tremendous visibility and continuing impact on natural products research. https://news.asu.edu/20210924-memoriam-regents-professor-george-bob-pettit
Deadline is August 30th.
While much work has been devoted to investigating potential inhibitors of protein tyrosine kinases (PTKs) and the downstream effects on chronic diseases such as cancer, little has been reported for the protein tyrosine phosphatase, the enzyme responsible for the regeneration of the PTK. Is the phosphatase an additional potential target for drug lead development?
